What I learn from this week's emerging technology class - week five
This week, let's talk about Apple!π
Not the fruit, but the company, of course!
WWDC event, which will take place June 10th through 14th. At this conference, Apple will release a new generation of iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS 15, tvOS 18, watchOS 11, and visionOS 2 operating systems. Among them, the one that gets the most attention from consumers, that's me, is still iOS 18. Some online rumours claim that iOS 18 may include generative AI technology, making it one of the most upgraded versions in Apple's history.
Let's hope that this update will allow the Siri on my phone to function as the intelligent assistant I envisioned it to be and not be the silly artificial idiot that it is.π
Incorporating new-age AI into phones is already something that the big players are trying to do today. Just two days ago, OPPO cell phones from China announced that they would fully popularize AI cell phones, allowing about 50 million users to have their phones equipped with generative AI functions. At the end of this year, our perception of cell phones can be further subverted.π
